What is a “blowout?”

Our signature service includes a thorough wash and conditioning; a trigger point scalp massage; and finishing steps that include a round brush blow dry and style.

How long is your blowout service?

This service typically takes approximately 45 minutes. However, longer or thicker hair may require an additional 10-15 minutes, totaling 1 hour.

How long does a blowout typically last?

Our blowout typically lasts 2-3 days. Additionally, using a dry shampoo will help extend its life.

What is the Express Keratin Treatment?

This is a hair treatment process that promotes increased shine and smoothing as well as decreased frizz and drying time. This service is an abbreviated version of a full Keratin Treatment, requiring less downtime in the salon (1.5 hours); less wait time until you can shampoo (8 hours versus 72 hours); and increased affordability ($150 versus $300-350.) The benefits of the treatment last up to 6 weeks.

When it comes to the airbrush spray tan, does a stylist or machine apply the tan?

A trained Blush stylist performs this service and will color match our tanning solution to you based on your skin color and personal preference.

What tanning solution do you use?

Our tanning product line is Norvell. It is made from all natural ingredients and is an industry leader when it comes to application, color, and lifespan.

Will I turn orange?

No, this is not something to worry about, as our solution does not contain orange hues.

What steps should I take to prepare for an airbrush spray tan?

For best results, be sure to shave, exfoliate and refrain from using any lotion, oils, or deodorant prior to your appointment. We also recommend wearing dark, loose-fitted clothing to minimize color transfer to your clothes. If, for some reason, some color does transfer, it will easily come out in the wash. You may elect to use our disposable underwear and bra tops; bring something from home; or be sprayed “a la natural!”

What is proper aftercare for a spray tan?

Wait at least 6 hours before showering or sweating. Opt for showers instead of baths, and refrain from the use of any harsh bar soaps (liquid soaps are gentler on the color). Don’t exfoliate, and be sure to moisturize thoroughly with lotions (no oils).

How long does a spray tan typically last?

If you moisturize continuously (with lotion – not oil), it should last at least 6 days.

What is involved in a make-up consultation?

This service lasts 30 minutes and involves color-matching your skin; then, based upon your skin type and make-up preferences, educating you about relevant products from our preferred make-up line (Jane Iredale).

What is included in your make-up application service?

This service lasts 30 minutes and includes personal, custom make-up application (full coverage foundation and contouring; distinct eyes; and lip color.) If you would like to have eyelashes applied, this may be added to this service. (Please refer to our menu.)

What steps should I take to prepare for a waxing service?

Allow hair to grow about the length of a long grain of rice. Exfoliate prior and refrain from using any lotions. Try to avoid timing in sync with your menstrual cycle as this can increase sensitivity.

What is proper aftercare for a waxing service?

No swimming or sweating for 12 hours following your waxing service. Take showers instead of bathing for 3 days. Continue to exfoliate 1-2 times/week after service and moisturize regularly (Aloe Vera works well to soothe.) If you received a bikini wax, try to avoid tight clothing for a few days.

What is your cancellation policy?

Out of respect for other guests, we request a 24-hour notice for appointment cancellations.

Do you accommodate walk-ins?

We welcome walk-ins; however, please know there may be a wait depending on previously scheduled appointments. Feel free to call ahead and check last-minute availability @ 337.602.6627.

When it comes to your monthly memberships, what is the cancellation policy?

We require a documented, 30-day notice, and this can be accomplished by obtaining a cancellation form from the salon.

Do you host parties?

Yes! We host birthday parties, girls’ nights, and bridal parties. Call us to customize your event and obtain a quote.

May I reserve multiple appointments?

Sure! Just give us a call, and based on availability, we will make this happen.

Do you accept product returns?

We do not; all retail products are final sale.

May I purchase a gift card?

Absolutely! Just call or stop in, and we can create a gift card for any amount or service.
